Kim Montgomery

Kim completed her Masters of Social Work in 2002 at the University of British Columbia. She has over 28 years specializing in clinical experience as it relates to trauma and addictions. Kim also teaches cultural sensitivity to all professions in the hope to create change in the systems that support indigenous clients.

Kim has provided clinical and administrative supervision to social work students, interns and professionals.

Kim is a proud Okanagan Nation member who is very grounded in her traditions, culture and family responsibilities. Kim’s has worked for the Okanagan Nation Alliance for sixteen years and has been leading the Nation in crisis management, exploring new models of Traditional mental health, program development, creating culturally safe conversations and advocating for services and resources for the people.
